Lost Password or Lost NestEgg File


Did you setup Two-Factor Authentication on your NestEgg file?  


NO

  • Sorry but your NestEgg file can not be recovered. 
  • You will need to setup a new file.
  • Unfortunately NestEgg can not give any refunds in this scenario
    • As we are an anonymous service we can not verify if your Smart Contract does actually belong to you
    • Also we are not able to release the Ether stored in the Smart Contract under these circumstances, not even if we wanted to
    • Therefore we can not refund you for a lost account where no 2FA was setup

YES:

  • If you setup 2FA AND you have a paid account
    • Then your details are stored in your Smart Contract on the Ethereum Blockchain
    • Follow the instructions below and we will create a new NestEgg file for you
    • Your new NestEgg file will then sync with your Smart Contract and be populated with the last saved copy of your information held by the Smart Contract
  • If you setup 2FA but you DO NOT have a paid account
    • Sadly the details from your old NestEgg file have been lost as they were not saved on the Ethereum Blockchain
    • You will need to re-enter the details into your new NestEgg file
    • Follow the instructions below and we will create a new NestEgg file for you




Creating your new NestEgg file



You will now see the "Recover Your NestEgg Account" page

  • Open Google Authenticator and find your NestEgg account entry
  • Then enter the details into the Recover your Profile form (shown below)



  1. UUID
    1. This is the UUID number found on your Google Authenticator entry for NestEgg (underlined in RED) in the diagram below
  2. New Password
    1. Choose a new Password for your new NestEgg file
  3. Google Authenticator Key
    1. Enter the Six Digit Number shown on Google Authenticator into this box
  4. Recover Your Account
    1. Click to recover your account


You will now be given a new NestEgg local file. 



PAID USERS:  Your new NestEgg file will now SYNC with your Smart Contract and re-populate itself with the last saved copy of your information

 

UNPAID USERS: There is no other copy of your information other than in the last NestEgg file you had. Sorry but you will need to re-enter your information again
